Jim Stroud

He has consulted for such companies as Google,Siemens, MCI and a host of start-up companies. He presently serves Microsoft as a Technical Sourcing Consultant and is a regular contributor to Microsoft's Technical Careers Blog.

Jim Stroud was nominated (and a top 10 finalist) for a "Best Blog Award" for his blog - Jim Stroud 2.0, by Recruiting.com in 2006 and cited in Bullhorn's Research Report: Tools of The Trade 2007 as being among the best blogs on the recruiting industry (50,000 staffing and recruiting professionals were surveyed). His podcast series - "The Recruiters Lounge" recently aired its 50th episode. His comicstrip series - "The Recruiting Life" has also celebrated its 100th edition and was nominated for "Best Ongoing Comic Series" and "Best Newcomer of 2006" by Gnomz, a community of Comic creators.

Krista Bradford

Krista Bradford is a veteran recruiter and founder of The Good Search, a national executive search and recruitment research practice headquartered in the Greater New York City Area owned and operated by Bradford Executive Research, LLC. Krista is a three-time Emmy Award-winning investigative reporter, having held positions with WNBC and WWOR TV in metropolitan New York as well as with television stations in Boston, Denver, Los Angeles, and St. Louis. She is a former national news correspondent for "The Reporters" on Fox Television and senior correspondent for the nationally syndicated "Now It Can Be Told" series. At 18, Krista Bradford was the youngest journalist ever to anchor the news. She studied at Columbia University.

 

Rob McIntosh

Rob is know in the industry as one of the leading strategist and thinkers on architecting and building Sourcing Organizations by solving complex business problems with breakthrough creative solutions. He currently leads the Sourcing function for all of the Deloitte lines of business in the US comprising of both passive, active, offshore and candidate revelopment/relationship sourcing teams focused on proactively pipelining talent to meet current and future business demand.

Previously, he worked for Microsoft for 7 years with his most recent role being responsible for designing, architecting, managing and leading of the Technical Central Sourcing organization where he Hired and led industry sourcing industry luminaries such as Shally Steckerl, Jim Stroud and Glenn Gutmacher to drive the web/research arm of the Technical Central Sourcing organization. Prior to Microsoft, he worked for numerous years as a TPR in both leadership and production roles in 3 different countries. Previous life worked in enterprise software sales and COBOL/PRG Programing.

Amybeth Hale

Amybeth is Manager of Internet Research for SearchPath International's Centralized Research Department. There, she offers research support, assisting in research support to our franchises, assists in database and sourcing training, and aids in finding and training new research talent to assist with the growth of the company.

Beginning her career in research in the summer of 2002, Amybeth started off as the sole researcher for an award-winning MRI-affiliated executive search firm in Cincinnati, OH. She has implemented, customized, and conducted user training classes for contact management databases in addition to developing her skills as a passive researcher.

Amybeth was an instrumental part in the development and moderation of an extensive interactive network of researchers throughout MRI's franchise system. She helped establish recognition of and assistance for the researchers affiliated with MRI at its regional conferences and was asked to assist with training sessions for 2005 and 2006. She willingly offered training and support to new researchers who were referred to her by other MRI franchise offices. One of her favorite sayings is, "Never forget where you came from - and always reach back."

Russ Moon

Russ Moon currently serves Wachovia as the AVP, Strategic Research Team providing research across all lines of business on a national scope. Prior to Wachovia, Russ served as a member of centralized research groups at KPMG LLP and MeadWestvaco. Russ's background includes sales, training, strategic planning, marketing and recruiting in a variety of industries to include financial services, the Big 4, pharmaceuticals, energy and retail. A former junior military officer, Russ served with the 50th Signal Battalion (Airborne) where his teams supported the commanding Generals of the 18th Airborne Corps, 82nd Airborne Division and 101st Air Assault Division. Russ holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from The Citadel and a Masters of Business Administration ( Summa Cum Laude ) from Strayer University. Conni LaDouceur

Marc Hutto

Marc Hutto is a Managing Principal within ExecuQuest and also has direct oversight responsibilities for the Charlotte, NC offices of the company. His previous fifteen years with Wachovia Corporation in conducting and leading recruiting, research and sourcing brings an execution-focus to EQC in the delivery of research service, Search/Research Success™ training, Performance Coaching and Consulting and Advisory Services to companies that wish to build or optimize an internal sourcing function.

Prior to joining EQC, Marc served as the Sourcing Solutions Director, SVP for Wachovia, headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. He built and led a team of geographically dispersed research and sourcing professionals that grew from 10 to 55 over a six-year period. The team engaged in identifying and developing prospective candidates for positions throughout the corporation. Marc launched the Sourcing Solutions team in February of 2000 at which time he and his team initiated the design and implementation of technology, processes, people, and service delivery systems in order to support the hiring needs of Wachovia.

Marc was recruited by Wachovia (First Union Corporation) as a Staffing Specialist in 1991. He was responsible for a varied client group and their hiring needs, provided recruiting, and staffing support to all divisions throughout the company during his four years in this role. He was also a Search Consultant in the company's internal, retained executive search group. As HR Team Leader, he led HR Generalists supporting multiple business units in the areas of recruiting and selection, relocation, employee relations, employee/manager counseling, EEO and Affirmative Action, corrective action, displacement proceedings, and terminations. As a Recruiting Manager, he was responsible for providing service to multiple divisions of the company. Prior to joining Wachovia Corporation, Marc was in sales positions in the industrial manufacturing field and the staffing industry.

Marc is a proud husband, stepfather, son, and brother to his family. He is a member of the International Association For Corporate & Professional Recruitment (IACPR), the International Coach Federation (ICF) and he served on the Board of Directors for the American Cancer Society 1988-1990 and the Regional HIV/AIDS Consortium, 2005/2006. He has also been an avid supporter of the Reading First program at Highlands Elementary. Marc is on the National Advisory Board of the Human Capital Institute. In 2004, Marc assembled senior recruiting and sourcing leaders from fourteen prominent companies to build a collaborative Corporate Sourcing Leadership Forum to accelerate the excellence in operation of internal sourcing functions amongst its members. Dave Copps

Dave is a certified search geek and serial entrepreneur. He has been at the forefront of semantic search for the past 9 years following a pioneering effort in 1995 that resulted in the first real-time news service delivered via a web service.

Dave currently serves as Chairman and CEO of PureDiscovery Corporation, a company based in Dallas Texas that is redefining what is possible for the future of intelligent search. Prior to founding PureDiscovery he was co-founder and Director of Engenium Corporation (purchased by Marsh McLennan in November 2006), where he led the adoption of the Engenium conceptual search platform by the Pentagon, CIA, FBI and the US Department of Defense's Defense Messaging System. In addition to the DoD, Dave's intelligent search systems are currently enabling all major Electronic Discovery systems and over 260 hiring systems around the world including those of Korn Ferry and Heidrick & Struggles.

Glenn Gutmacher

Recruiting Researcher

Glenn has been a lead Internet sourcer for Microsoft since 2005, and previously at Getronics North America where his work contributed meaningfully to two finalist nominations in 2005's ERExcellence Awards. He entered the recruiting field in 1996 by founding one of the newspaper industry's first regional job boards, JobSmart, which won the international newspaper industry's two most prestigious awards in 1998: the EPpy Award (Editor & Publisher) and the Digital Edge Award (Newspaper Assn. of America).

In 1997, Glenn created one of the recruiting industry's first Internet sourcing seminars, the online version of which has been continuously updated through today. He was the official Internet recruiting certification instructor in 2000 for SHRM's Northeast Human Resources Association (NEHRA), in 2001 for the Boston Herald's Jobfind.com and in 2002 for the Boston Globe's BostonWorks.

Glenn remains a leading innovator in online sourcing methods and application of Internet tools to recruiting. He has trained recruiters and sourcers from hundreds of corporations from the Fortune 500 to small TPRs. Besides penning numerous articles for recruiting trade publications and portals, he currently writes the highly-regarded blog, Advanced Online Recruiting Techniques. He is a 1987 graduate of Yale University.

 

Denny Clark

Over the past four years, Denny has been involved in several entrepreneurial endeavors. He recently joined Execuquest as Director of Advisory Services. Execuquest is a talent acquisition firm offering clients recruitment research, search team training, performance coaching and consulting services. Denny recently sold his franchise business, Great Clips For Hair, a hair salon which he had operated for the past four years. In addition, Denny continues as owner-operator of another franchise business, The Entrepreneur's Source, a consulting firm specializing in self-employment business options.

The bulk of Denny's career was spent with Wachovia Bank (formerly First Union Bank). After 20 years of service he left Wachovia in June, 2006, to pursue his dream of becoming a full time entrepreneur. Denny's exciting career with Wachovia began in Florida, where he was a Commercial Lender and Branch Manager and held various other revenue generating positions.

In 1993, Denny joined Human Resources as the Recruiting and Staffing manager for Florida that included all exempt level recruiting for multiple business lines and college relations for the state.

In 1995, Denny joined Wachovia's Consumer College, where he directed retail training for the Florida Bank. While in this role, Denny was promoted from the Florida Consumer College to the position of dean of The Consumer College, overseeing retail bank training and development for Wachovia.

In August of 1999, Denny took on the role of director of Recruiting for Wachovia. In that role, Denny managed the day-to-day recruiting operations. He had a staff of over 300 employees located from Florida, to Connecticut to Sacramento, California. Denny also had responsibility for two specialty recruiting functions at Wachovia, an internal fee for service temp/IT contractor service, FirstPlace, and a internal fee based retained search service called the Executive Search Group (ESG). The combined gross revenue for these two entities was over $100 million.

In October 2000, Denny was awarded the highest level of recognition in Wachovia's Human Resources, the Leslee Lloyd Award.

In his role as Recruiting Solutions director, Denny enhanced the recruiting business model through establishing a dedicated sourcing group, creating a vendor management function to assist in controlling external fees, and improving productivity through implementation of a consistent sales management process (Short Cycle Sales Management) and a balanced scorecard. Denny's innovative leadership resulted in several key points of recognition for Wachovia's recruiting department. In 2003, Wachovia was named "Best In Class" and "Most Innovative Recruiting Model" by IQPC. In 2004, Wachovia received a "Best Service" award from Workforce Magazine, a premier publication for HR professionals. In 2005, Wachovia Bank and Denny's team were also recognized by the National Association of African Americans in HR as "Corporation of The Year".

Denny is a graduate of Florida State University, the Executive Leadership Program at the University of North Carolina; he is an honors graduate of the Florida School of Banking at the University of Florida. Denny has been married to Lynne for 23 years. They have two sons, Emanuel and Daniel.

 

Tracey Friend

Tracey Friend, is currently the SVP of the Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence at Countrywide Financial. In her current role she is responsible for recruitment technology, operations, marketing and sourcing function.

Prior to Countrywide, Tracey served in a variety of roles such as Global Recruitment Product Manager for an HR Outsourcing Company as well as an entrepreneur where she provided both research and Internet Recruitment Training throughout the world.

A University of Florida graduate, (home of the National Basketball and Football Champions), she and her family live in Frisco, Texas. Today she spends her free time playing soccer on a woman's league, coaches her daughter's team and is her son's biggest fan!

 

Danny Chahill

Danny Cahill is the only industry "guru" that runs a search firm every day. He does what you do. He has built Hobson Associates into one of the country's largest niche search firms, specializing in Sales and Marketing talent for the computer industry. His career personal billings exceed four million dollars and he recently broke the record for the largest fee in his company's history.

In 1990, Danny established the Cahill Consulting Group, and began sharing his "hands on" techniques. His dynamic and humorous presentations launched him into immediate prominence. In 1992, '93 and '95, 1997, '98 and '99, his sessions at nationals were the highest rated sessions of the conference. His 1998 keynote, "Deconstructing Danny," and his 2000 keynote are considered landmark events in the industry's history. He has addressed consultants on three continents. His video products are core training tools for thousands of consultants. His Mentoring Program has increased the billings of its participants over 50%, with new students making their first deal within eight working days.

In October 1995, Danny became the only industry trainer ever asked to speak at a meeting of the Pinnacle Society, the top producers in the industry. Over fifty percent of Pinnacle members use Cahill Consulting products. In 1999, the Pinnacle Society appointed him a permanent chairperson's position.

NAPS recently announced a survey calling Danny "their most popular trainer" of all time.

In July of 2002 Danny launched www.AccordingToDanny.com, a web-based training company devoted to owners, managers and recruiters. AccordingToDanny enables the thousands of recruiters worldwide who have developed their careers through Danny's personal "mentoring" programs or through his renowned series of videos, audio tapes and software products, to have direct access to his guidance "24/7".

His articles have appeared in numerous trade journals and magazines and he has written for CBS television. He received his Master's Degree in literature from Wesleyan University and believes sales people enjoy the world's only job security.

 

W. Stanton Smith

W. Stanton Smith is currently National Director, Next Generation Initiatives (NGI) at Deloitte & Touche USA LLP. Mr. Smith joined Deloitte as a principal in 1998. Since then he has served in a number of senior HR roles. In 2001 Mr. Smith was asked by Deloitte's CEO to study generational differences then beginning to manifest in the workplace. With a strong commitment from Deloitte leadership, Mr. Smith has grown NGI into a key strategic initiative with tangible positive business impact over the past six and one half years.

Mr. Smith's charge is to research demographic and workforce attitudes with the intention of creating and implementing innovative initiatives that foster an environment to which the best talent is attracted and will want to stay and grow. The key innovations that have emerged from NGI are Deloitte Career Connections, the Talent Market Series and the Deloitte Pre-College Outreach program. He has also been designated by the Human Capital practice of Deloitte Consulting LLC as Deloitte's expert on generational issues and related innovations.

Prior to joining Deloitte, Mr. Smith held a variety of senior HR positions with Price Waterhouse, Mobil Corporation and Coopers & Lybrand where he began his career.

Mr. Smith is a native of Houston, Texas. He received a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

He has been married to his wife Roz for 28 years. They currently reside near Greenville, South Carolina. He and his wife are opera and classical music fans and both enjoy choral singing. In addition, Mr. Smith enjoys mentoring young people and developing the people who work for him.

Leah Hughes

Leah Hughes currently serves Countrywide as the VP, Recruitment Operations in the Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence. One of Leah's responsibilities is to provide insourced and outsourced support for research and sourcing projects across Countrywide's divisions. Prior to Countrywide, Leah has also held Talent Acquisition leadership roles at Dell, Grant Thornton and PepsiCo. Leah holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Ambassador University.

 

Tim O'Connor

Tim O'Connor is the Strategic Sourcing Lead for Capgemini NA. He is currently responsible for building and implementing the Sourcing Strategy for North American Recruiting. Working with senior leaders, he prioritizes sourcing needs and builds a pipeline of qualified talent. Tim guides the direction of the off shore sourcing team in Kolkata, India, implementing new tools, resources, and providing in depth training on modern sourcing techniques. Also working closely with NA Recruiting, Tim trains recruiters and sourcers on how to leverage sites like Linkedin, Google, and LIVE, to build their talent pipeline. Continuously looking for new and creative ways to bring top talent into Capgemini, Tim develops passive leads for the North American Recruiting function on a consistent basis.

Prior to joining Capgemini, Tim was recruited and relocated to Maine by Unum CO.; a Fortune 250 Company based out of Tennessee, Tim filled a much needed new role as a Senior Staffing Research Specialist. He focused on internet research for the staffing department. He implemented new technologies, search techniques, and web research. Tim's expertise lay in the area of finding hard to find passive candidates in any field, name generation, leads, referrals, and web research. With just over seven years of pure recruiting experience, Tim is now mainly focused on being a researcher, providing unique and powerful solutions to finding and solving staffing loop holes. Prior to working at UnumProvident Tim was recruited by Sovereign Bank to help with their retail recruiting efforts, eventually working his way into the Corporate Recruiting Department. Daphne L. Mahotiere

Ms. Daphne L. Mahotiere is THE ORIGINAL PEACH, born and raised in Georgia. She has over 10 years of recruitment experience and started her career as a Corporate Recruiter with organizations such as Staples, Fidelity, and American Financial Group. Her primary focus areas are Retail/Consumer Business, Financial Services, Information Technology and Professional Services/Consulting.

In 2005, she transitioned to the world of Contract Recruiting and redefined her professional niche as a Sourcer. Since that time, Daphne has established a track record of success finding and placing candidates with a variety of prestigious companies such as Microsoft, Deloitte, Limited Brands, and Conner Partners. Her claim to fame is her unsurpassed ability to take a wealth of in-depth complicated information and streamlining it "Romper-room style" to train others to empower themselves to work smarter, not harder without sacrificing quality or results.

Daphne received her Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Georgia State University in 1995. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with her MBA in Human Resource Management from Keller Graduate School of Management in Atlanta, GA in 1998.

Daphne is extremely active within the metro Atlanta recruiting community and was elected the 2007 President of Metro Atlanta Recruiters Channel (MARC), a professional networking organization that caters to more than 150+ Recruiters and Sourcers in Atlanta, GA.

Moises Lopez

Moises Lopez is the National Sourcing Manager for PDS Technical Services. He works closely with the Branch Managers and Recruiters - training, developing and executing tactical sourcing strategies aimed at generating candidate flow that meets the diversity, gender, skill requirements and overall recruiting goals for all PDS branches nationwide and PDS National Recruiting team. Rithesh is an Executive Researcher CSS(Client Service Support) for KPMG. He has a strong Recruiting and Human Resources background, including high volume and executive level sourcing.
